JOB SUMMARY
A diverse role which encompasses all aspects of the People & Culture function. The post holder will be responsible for leading a small team and ensuring all aspects of the employee life-cycle are administered and delivered in an efficient and professional manner. The post holder will contribute to the Group People Strategy and ensure People & Culture projects and initiatives, identified from Group Strategy, are delivered and implemented within the appropriate timelines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
Engage with and support MDs with local and Group initiatives, and functional processes.
Support MD and Directors with best practice advice.
Build relevant ‘People Plans’ to support businesses meet engagement targets and develop talent
Talent Management – ensure the delivery of the People Review process is undertaken each year across all jurisdictions and maintain accurate records of conversations and outputs / actions Performance management – ensure the delivery of the annual performance and pay review process for all jurisdictions
Ensuring compliance with all relevant data protection legislation and regulatory requirements for the People & Culture function are met.
Maintaining people-related systems, ensuring integrity of data at all times. Develop and maintain efficient processes and procedures, where possible are consistent.
Drive the engagement and delivery of excellent service levels to all colleagues across jurisdiction. Continually evaluate employee lifecycle processes (recruitment, on-boarding, probation, annual performance reviews, learning and development and offboarding) to improve function and efficiency.
Oversee the employment correspondence for new joiners, annual pay reviews and promotions etc. Support and implement projects to support the delivery of the Oak People Strategy and other P&C projects and initiatives.
Remain abreast of statutory legislation in local jurisdictions. Liaise with Oaks appointed legal advisors for specific employment law advice, as necessary.
Provide support and guidance to People Managers on all aspects of employee relations. Provide advice and guidance to employees on staff benefits and Oak Employee Handbook, policies and procedures.
Provide guidance and/or conduct grievance, disciplinary and performance management meetings. Build and maintain internal and external colleague / client relationships to aid the performance of the People & Culture function.
Completing any other duties as may be required from time to time in accordance with the requirements of the role, team and evolving nature of the function.

KEY COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
A relevant qualification in Human Resource Management from a recognised institution OR a minimum of 5 years HR related experience.
Thorough knowledge of local employment laws and regulations.
A high degree of professionalism and discretion and must know how to represent both Oak policies and the needs of its employees.
A firm understanding of the requirement for confidentiality and adherence at all times. Ability to assist with problem solving.
Active listening skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Established experience of all Microsoft applications. Application of attention to detail in all aspects of the role.
Ability to multitask and apply flexibility to working pattern. Established organisation and planning ability.
Ability and drive to build strong working relationships with the function’s clients - internally and externally.
